The PROFANO company began in 1932 by Danish resident Ole Kirk Christiansen, with the reason for promoting creative play and ingenuity in children. In the early years, the company’s products were made right from wooden blocks, but by the sixties, production acquired expanded and this company produced toys and games made of plastic material. Although the pieces and designs modified over the years, that they remained interchangeable and could be combined to produce new models.

In the 1971s, LEGO began to expand their business overseas. In Saudi arabia, the company founded a sales company and began trading toys in Portugal and Swiss. In the eighties, the company extended into the U. S. and established a manufacturing facility in Connecticut. The corporation also a new new category, Dacta, to focus on educational products. The Dacta line, for example , features mathematics and reasoning challenges and includes educational toys designed for schools.

Following World War II, Christiansen purchased the first plastic injection molding machine in Denmark and began experimenting with the process. He eventually created the iconic LEGO building blocks. These obstructions are easily familiar by their circular studs at the top. These buttons allow hooking up blocks to be locked together. By 1951, half of LEGO’s creation was made of plastic. The business also improved its production technology to create plastic stones that would keep going longer.

Today, the SEGLAR Company has expanded past its structure toy series to a wide range of various other products. They have branched out into robotics, media, and academic products to get preschools and kindergartens. It also operates two theme recreational areas in Denmark. The first opened in Bil-lund, Denmark, in late 1960s, and a second is certainly scheduled to open in Carlsbad, California in 1999.
